There's finally lots of PlayStation 4 games and less PlayStation 3 games! Plus The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is available for pre-ordering, a slew of LEGO games and NBA 2K14 is on sale, and this week's free game features a classic Disney mascot.

Finally, lots of stuff for the PlayStation 4. But how awesome is it really? There's a lack of a full-fledged game, even in the indie scene.

It's very exciting for Final Fantasy MMO fans. FFXIV finally hits the new-generation console at a discount. Other than that? A couple of board games, trick racing, and some trivia game that should include a case of beer with its price.

Definitely stay away from Sony's absurd price of a full retail game for Beyond: Two Souls digitally. It can currently be had for just $32.30, and you'll definitely find it cheaper if you're patient.

Believe it or not, Vita wins this week in content. Conception II is a turn-based RPG for those that need something new after Persona 4 Golden. Dead Nation has been re-released for the portable, Ethan: Meteor Hunter is a solid price and ported over from the PS3, and you can't go wrong with a free game.

Pure Chess has a game packages on sale, but I won't be listing them here. Those that are even getting the board game might as well pick up the whole darn thing for 12 bucks. Otherwise, the game packs are $2.24  each while the Batallion, Easter Island, and Halloween chest sets run $0.89 each.

Seriously, the Spanish commentary costs money for NBA 2K14? C'mon guys...

Otherwise, for the crazy LEGO fans that can't get enough of their adventure games, I highly recommend picking these games up on sale. Playing the Lord of the Rings edition is the only way I can sit through that story, because any of those movies put me to sleep in one hour or less. Guaranteed! Plus, it's cheaper than getting all the movies, and will probably take less time to complete.

INSTANT GAME COLLECTION

This week's free game is Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse on the PS3. No, I haven't played Disney games since the Super NES era with Aladdin. And this game probably isn't as good as Aladdin, so I may skip on this adventure. We'll see what the weekend brings.

Speaking of Aladdin, isn't it about time we get a remake of that fantastic game? C'mon [insert random indie developer here], you know you want to!

Final Fantasy XIV comes to PS4 in spring, Square Enix announces CE

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will be coming to the PlayStation 4 on April 14th with both standard and collector's edition available for preorder.


Publisher Square Enix announced the launch date and collector's edition details today. Escapist Magazine breaks down what's in the special box.

...It includes the game, an exclusive box, an artbook titled The Art of Eorzea: A Realm Reimagined, the FFXIV Seventh Umbral Era movie disc, the soundtrack, an art card set, and a themed security token. Additionally, the collector's edition includes the following in-game items: a fat chocobo mount, a coeurl mount, behemoth barding for the chocobo mount, a wind-up moogle companion, a baby bethmoth companion, and a Helm of Light, which increases earned experience by 20 percent until level 10.

The physical collector's edition, which is only available at the Square Enix Online Store, will set players back $79.99. A digital version of the CE, which includes the in-game items only, is available at the PlayStation Store for $59.99.

For those not interested in the extras and want access to the game as soon as possible, the standard edition is just $39.99 and preorders will allow entry into the game beginning April 11th.

According to the PlayStation Blog, players that want to move their account from the PlayStation 3 to the PS4 can do so beginning April 11th, but that will render their PS3 version useless.

After purchase, the monthly subscription fee for FFXIV is $12.99.
