'Resident Evil Remastered' to run at 30 FPS on PlayStation 4, Xbox One

The original Resident Evil is getting re-released for what seems to be the 1,000th time, and it will run in 30 frames per second across the board.

PlayStation Lifestyle says that while the game will run in full 1080p HD on the new generation systems (PlayStation 4, Xbox One), it will run at 30 FPS on all the consoles. There's also a slew of technical information on the game and other stuff from the official game website that PSLS highlights.

Along with running at 1080p on PS4 and Xbox One, and 720p on PS3 and Xbox 360, Resident Evil Remastered will run at 30fps on all platforms (PC specs and a price are TBD).

This won't be an exact remake right from the original. Capcom is actually creating this full HD port from the 2002 remake of Resident Evil. So how is this going to work?

Well, the game will be made to hold true to the original playing style, but some things will be tweaked and of course the game will look a lot better than its older versions. Since the game was made for standard tube TVs, players can actually play in the original 4:3 ratio or in the 16:9 widescreen ratio that will scroll around with your character.

Full 5.1 surround support has been added along with an optional control scheme where the player can move in any direction versus the traditional back step method.

Capcom price drops on PSN includes Okami HD, Remember Me

A number of Capcom's digital releases on the PlayStation Network are currently on sale.

Polygon reports that Okami HD, a remake of the PlayStation 2/Wii classic, is now available for just $13.99, which is 30 percent off its original $19.99 price point.

Other games published by Capcom are also discounted on PSN and the Xbox Games Store:

Capcom also implemented permanent price drops on both PSN and the Xbox Games Store for three of its 2013 releases. Dontnod Entertainment's Remember Me (originally $59.99), Spark Unlimited's Lost Planet 3 (orig. $59.99) and Capcom's Resident Evil: Revelations HD (orig. $49.99) are each available for $39.99 now.

Okami is only available through PSN, and it's a highly recommended download for those that haven't yet experienced it. The HD edition is the perfect edition of it, presenting a beautifully crafted game in HD quality with the functionality of drawing on the screen, which was implemented in the Wii port.

As far as Capcom's releases this year, RE: Revelations is the only one that could be recommended at that sale price, but any of these could be found cheaper with Black Friday deals in a little over a week.

Capcom will release worst game bundle of all time October 8th

Capcom Essentials will be a bundle released on October 8th for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It includes five of Capcom's games of this generation and a travel bag.

The travel bag may be the best part of the deal.

Here's the list of games in the $59.99 retail priced bundle:

• Dead Rising 2
• Devil May Cry 4
• Mega Man 10
• Resident Evil 6
• Super Street Fighter 4

The bundle includes four discs in two cases with MM10 having a download code. That's a collection games that doesn't feature any DLC content, which most collections would include.

SSF4 isn't even the arcade edition, which is even cheaper on Amazon than the original. DMC 4 is not the reboot that was released later on and can be found really cheap.

In fact, since none of these games include any DLC content, anyone can find used copies of each of these games for about $5. And RE6 isn't even worth a purchase.

This collection screams straight cash homie for Capcom. It's as if the company took all the extra copies of these games, gutted them, and put them in these cases. All clear profit for Capcom that deserves a more reasonable price of...well, $30 at the most.

Where's the EA haters at now? They released a Humble Bundle Origin collection, with better games, a much better price, and that money heads to multiple charities.
