"PSN Summer Blast" Sale Begins Tuesday

For the next couple of weeks, Sony will be cutting sales on a wide variety of games for a huge summer sale. There's nothing really new in the list (besides Star Trek...), but it's worth checking out for games that may have been missed and are now slashed for huge discounts, especially for PlayStation Plus subscribers.

Some of the bigger deals that have caught my eye I have highlighted. For those with a Vita, definitely check out Mortal Kombat as its one of the best recent fighting games and a great reboot of the franchise. The Ratchet & Clank Collection is also a great deal with three solid platformers for less than a meal at McDonalds.

The week after includes great deals for a couple games to fill up your Vita library (Silent Hill and LEGO Batman 2). For those that have slept on it Just Cause 2 is a great value for how much time one could spend in that game, and a couple of collections are at a great price (with the Hitman Trilogy being of much better quality).

Finally, a game I don't have and been intrigued in is Fight Night Champion. The mature-rated EA Sports title has received mixed reviews, but I need some kind of boxing fill. Or perhaps The Fight does just as good.
