PlayStation 4 seller shot and killed after suspect stole console

Port Authority Police Department officer guards an open gas station in Jersey City w/ M16 assault rifle at the ready.

Another shooting has happened by the result of a PlayStation 4 transaction gone wrong, this time in San Francisco.

Local police have identified and arrested Ronnie Collins, a 21-year-old from San Francisco, who shot and killed Ikenna Uwakah after stealing the PS4 that Uwakah agreed to sell him.

From NBC Bay Area:

Uwakah was shot at about 3:30 p.m. Sunday near Mendell Street and Hudson Avenue in an industrial area of the city's Bayview District.
Uwakah had agreed to meet with the suspect to sell him the gaming console, but instead the suspect stole it and shot Uwakah while he was still in his car, according to police.

After being shot, Uwakah was later pronounced dead at the San Francisco General Hospital. Collins will be charged with murder and attempted robbery.

According to Onyebuchi Uwakah, Ikenna's father, his son was visiting during the holidays when the fatal transaction occurred.

It's a risk to try and pick up a new console and flip it for profit. Generally, it's not worth the hassle, especially meeting in a specific area to handle the transaction. It can also be dangerous because people that don't want to spend the extra money are involved, and they could find other ways around it.

Unfortunately for Uwakah, Collins decided to take a lethal approach.
