Have PlayStation Plus? For those that don't own a PlayStation 4 yet, there's a way to reserve free games that are currently in the Instant Game Collection.
Game Informer has the method needed in order to do this via the online store portal:
Just sign in, add the [titles to your cart] and check out. When you get a PlayStation 4, you’ll have the licenses for those titles available to you (provided you’re still a PlayStation Plus member).Currently, Resogun and Contrast are free for PS4 owners. Neither are ground-breaking hits, but considering the launch titles available, they're great additions.
There's plenty of reasons why it would be a good idea to tag these free games. First, always take advantage of what's free. Even if these free games are never played or even downloaded, the option will always be there as long as that player is PS+ subscriber.
Also, GI brings up a good point that even if players own a title that's available for free, it doesn't hurt to tag it just in case the physical copy doesn't work anymore. I haven't had many problems with Blu-ray discs, but of the 100+ that I have either owned or used, two have decided to quit working randomly with my PS3.
Consider this a free tip for all current PS+ users, old or new. And for those that subscribe, they're always happy they made the decision with the numerous free games and discounts that are available each month.
