PlayStation 4 games available to pre-order on PlayStation 3

PlayStation 4 Controller

Future early adopters of the PlayStation 4 are able to pre-order the next-generation console's games on the PlayStation store.

From Matt Brian of Engadget:
Earlier today, the company rolled out an update for the aging console that makes PlayStation 4 games available to pre-order through the PlayStation Store. The first two digital titles available are SCE Japan Studio's Knack, which comes in at $60, and the free-to-play multiplayer shooter Warframe.
It should be expected that Sony will be adding more titles to this lineup before the November 15th launch date. Expect most if not all of Sony's first-party games along with various third-party games like Call of Duty: Ghosts and Assassin's Creed IV.

Why Warframe is on the list, especially when it's free, is a little puzzling. But perhaps some gamers that receive their consoles just want to power on, log in to PlayStation Network, and just have the console start automatically downloading the games.

Do you believe this feature is necessary while still having to log in to PSN and download the games?
