'Far Cry 3' Retail Price Falls to $40, Cheaper with Amazon's Flash Sales
Don't take the bait of the new retail price of Far Cry 3 just yet. The game is now available for $20 less, but another $20 can be shaved off if the right deals are found.
Along with releasing the second batch of big summer sales, Sony discounted FC3 from $59.99 to $39.99, mainly because that's where the retail price of the game now stands. However, don't fall for getting it at that amount.
Within the past month, Amazon has been running an on-and-off $19.99 special on the game for both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms. Currently the game can be found at its cheapest for around $30 brand new from one of Amazon's retailers.
If you've waited this long for FC3 and missed out on the $20 deal, my advice is to wait and keep checking back on Amazon when that amount hits. For those that are able to wait even longer, don't be surprised to see this game fall between $10-15 on Black Friday specials in November.
That doesn't mean that the PlayStation Store should be avoided. This week's deals include Just Cause 2, Prince of Persia trilogy, Hitman trilogy, Silent Hill: Book of Memories, and more at huge discounts (and even more so for PlayStation Plus subscribers).
