Is Square Enix pulling an April Fool's Day joke?

Yes, many popular places are pulling out all the stops for April Fool's Day today, but it's unknown if Square Enix is doing so after launching a Japanese website today.

It appears that the publisher opened up a new website at http://team043.jp/ and is promoting a new role-playing game. The website, that features no video pictures and just a lot of Japanese text, begins with "SQUARE ENIX Presents" with a Japanese title that ends with "RPG."

A date, April 1st, 2014, follows that title. The cast is then listed, all in Japanese, with the exception of "Lynn" toward the end.

The actual page is titled "team043." DualShockers explains what they found on the website:
The only real piece of information included in the website is the definition “Ranobe-Style RPG,” for those unfamiliar with Japanese media, “Ranobe” is the contraction of “Light Novel,” a popular form of usually episodic book targeting a young adult demographic that quite often gets turned into Anime series.
This all comes a day after the president believes Square Enix should be more involved with making RPGs for their fanbase. That's a pretty quick turnaround.

After a quick Google research, that information is about all we know of the mysterious website. Unless there's more to it that happens, we can simply put it on the pile of "probable April Fool's jokes."
