This photo popped up randomly on Twitter, and I was in absolute awe. There's a lot going on here, so let's dissect it.
I don't know what version of NBA 2K this is (one of the later two, but probably the latest installment).
Obviously, the game had to have been set with some crazy sliders. I don't have the latest version so I can't tell you what sliders they used, but probably the toughest difficulty mode and full time. There had to have been nothing but constant chucking the ball past half-court and immediate shooting, because attempting 372 field goal attempts is absolutely insane.
Just take a comparison from the latest NBA box score. In overtime, the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder combined for 176 attempts.
Of course, I saved the best for last. You'd think by pure odds and how many lucky 3-point shots go down in a basketball video game, you'd automatically get like 30 percent shooting.
Not the case in this game. What makes this picture jaw-dropping is that of the 372 total field goal attempts, 371 were missed. Yup, every single one of them were bricks except for one 3-pointer the Magic made.
Final score: Magic 3, Nuggets 0.
Holy crap. Basically, this was equivalent to two Grinnell Colleges running their wack offense on steroids except not as many wide-open layups and they missed absolutely everything. Well, except one 3-pointer.
I can't even fathom how this is possible. You could literally just heave full-court shots and still do better than .0027%, which was what transpired in this game.
