On Wednesday, the Namco Bandai took to the official SoulCalibur Facebook page and explained why SoulCalibur: Lost Swords had some connection issues -- there were "technical issues."
We have discovered that the issue requires a resolution across multiple parties and therefore our efforts to remedy the issue is taking longer than anticipated. Currently we are working feverishly with a key partner to implement a solution in the shortest amount of time possible.
There was never an exact explanation of what those technical issues were for the free-to-play game, but that didn't stop them from putting it up on the PSN store even with it still having bugs.
Numerous downloaders still continue to comment on the Facebook page, noting that they receive an "error 2005" code and have connection problems. The game is required to be online for both single and multi-player. However, some people have reportedly been able to access the game until eventually receiving the code again.
SC:LS is a PlayStation 3 exclusive, but it's not getting off to the best start. Until then, might as well play the SoulCalibur 2 HD upgrade.
