Rumors have been spreading around that DriveClub won't be ready for launch next month and will be delayed until next spring. This is the second game that could be delayed after Ubisoft announced that Watch Dogs won't be out until next spring as well.
Although it's not necessarily a sign that this is indeed accurate, there is a Sony event in San Francisco today which was going to have DriveClub included among the games shown. It's been removed due to a "scheduling conflict," according to Kotaku. We have reached out to Sony for a comment about the rumor, but you know how these situations tend to play out.Multiple sources, including the reliable Kotaku, have confirmed the reports with sources close to Sony.
This is a huge blow to PS4's launch lineup, which already is underwhelming. DriveClub was going to be a free download for all PlayStation Plus subscribers at launch, giving players the ability to have at least one game if they just bought the PS4 unit by itself.
